I am happy to be participating in the Books that Need MORE Attention Giveaway Hop hosted by Stuck In Books.

This hop is about books you love that not enough other people have found out about. Today I decided to feature UP ALL NIGHT, a collection of fictional short stories. The book features stories by award-winning and best-selling authors: Peter Abrahams, Libba Bray, David Levithan, Sarah Weeks, Gene Yang, and Patricia McCormick. It's a fun way to sample a new-to-you author's work. I am giving a one copy to a randomly drawn winner (U.S. mailing addresses only) via the rafflecopter widget in this post.*

Book Description

A brush with the supernatural?
A rock concert?
A reunion?
A poolside revelation?
The need to know what's up?
The confessions of a friend?
The dream of escape?
A sick pet?
An English assignment?
The rear-window view of a murder next door?
The search for the mother you never met?
What keeps you up all night?

* Please pardon the site construction. I had to switch web services yesterday due to unexpected limitations in functionality. YIKES! We should have this blog looking fabulous very soon. Because of the "dust," I've decided to sweeten the prize giveaway. I will giveaway one extra book for every 200 entries over 200 in our giveaway - up to a maximum of five books.

ex. 2 books = 400 entries | 3 books = 600 entries | 4 books = 800 entries | 5 books = 1000 entries

Hop along to the next blog...

  6. I've never read any of these authors' books, but I'm curious to know what they did with this theme. Lots of room to explore the dark side, for sure!

My favorite short story collection is probably Me Talk Pretty One Day by David Sedaris. Okay, some will say these are nonfictional, but I'd call it creative nonfiction at that - and that's basically fiction, isn't it? I just can't stop laughing over his French grammar issues, the creative writing class he teaches using his favorite soap operas as a writing assignment, and his experiences as a would-be conceptual artist. I like to reread it every couple of years.
