GENRE: Paranormal Romantic Suspense

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
BLURB:
The Octopus isn't an urban myth—and its agents are anything but ordinary. The intelligence bureau is so well-hidden most doubt its existence. A handful know its location. And fewer walk the halls in the subterranean compound.
Benjamin Sinclair didn't ask to be a scientific miracle but every mission has its risks and one perfectly-placed bullet ended his life—for a brief moment in time.
Nicole Anima battles demons every day. Life as a paranormal resources operative gives her tortured mind a rest—and keeps her from contemplating her own death.
When Anima and Sinclair partner on a globe-trotting race to eliminate the threat about to cripple humanity, all hell breaks loose. Leaping from planes, crashing into continents, dealing with voodoo priestesses, and running through jungles with zombies hot on their trail doesn't leave much time for romance, but this duo somehow manages to sizzle.
Two agents. Telepathic mind paired with regenerated commando. One world—and a mission to save it.
EXCERPT:
Another plane stopped a hundred yards from the growing pack. They rushed the aircraft. Hands reached high and pushed against the hull, rocking the plane—and presumably, its passengers—with enough force it nearly tipped onto its side.
The blind determination moving the throng slammed a realization home. She gasped, and when Sinclair glanced at her she said, “They’re—”
“Zombies.”
“What are they doing?”
The beefy air steward put one hand on the wall above the window and peered out. “Murder. Madness. Mayhem. All sorts of shit…that’s what zombies do. Isn’t that right, Agent Sinclair?”
Sinclair met her eyes behind the other man’s back. The truth about him was top-level confidential, so the steward had no way of knowing who—or what—stood near him.
“That’s right,” he said through gritted teeth. “All sorts of shit. Listen, they’re busy pummeling those poor bastards, so why don’t we pick up speed, move to the farthest part of the airfield. When we’re near the scrub we’ll jump. Then the plane can take off before it becomes the next target.”
She wanted to help the other plane. Really, she did. It hurt like hell to watch it sway from side to side, at the merciless hands of the undead, but there wasn’t anything they could do to stop it. Their mission wasn’t to save every random plane or civilian.
They had a job to do. Sometimes, for the good of many, sacrifices were made.
She squared her shoulders, put a hand on the gun holstered beside her left breast, and nodded.
“Let’s do it.”
    1. Andra,
      I guess my friends and family think it's okay. It's what I do, and have been doing, for years so it's never really part of a conversation. They're wonderfully supportive and bring me food when I'm on deadline and forgetting to eat! :) And they celebrate with me, so it's all good!
      So glad you stopped by. :)
