THE STRANGEATHON (SUMMER SESSION) STARTS TODAY!!!

Count me in! I am participating in some other challenges during this week (Tome ToppleRetell-a-thonMEG Readalong) so I am only going to read one "new" book for this challenge.

I am reading Anna Dressed in Blood (Anna Dressed in Blood Series Book 1) by Kendare Blake because I feel like it kinda sort covers challenges 1, 2, 3, and 4 for me. I am also counting it toward the Alphabethon, Summer Fun, and Seasonal Series summer challenges.

I am currently reading MEG by Steve Alten (for the MEGalong) and I'm counting it for challenge 5 and the F-Up bonus of the Strangeathon. Meg is a shark and all, but she is really raking up quite the body count. I am counting her as a serial killer.

So that's two books for me.

Are you planning to participate? What are you going to read?

Cas Lowood has inherited an unusual vocation: He kills the dead.
So did his father before him, until he was gruesomely murdered by a ghost he sought to kill. Now, armed with his father's mysterious and deadly athame, Cas travels the country with his kitchen-witch mother and their spirit-sniffing cat. Together they follow legends and local lore, trying to keep up with the murderous dead—keeping pesky things like the future and friends at bay.
When they arrive in a new town in search of a ghost the locals call Anna Dressed in Blood, Cas doesn't expect anything outside of the ordinary: track, hunt, kill. What he finds instead is a girl entangled in curses and rage, a ghost like he's never faced before. She still wears the dress she wore on the day of her brutal murder in 1958: once white, now stained red and dripping with blood. Since her death, Anna has killed any and every person who has dared to step into the deserted Victorian she used to call home.
But she, for whatever reason, spares Cas's life.

Challenges:

1. Undead Summer: Read a book with someone without a pulse. 2. Lazy Days: Take the full readathon to read a book. 3. Halloween is Everyday: Read a book you’ve been saving for October.

6. Bonfire: Read a Book with matches, lighter, fire or smoke.
7. Loneliest Review: Read a book that you’ve heard no one talk about.
Bonus Challenge: The F-Up: Accidentally pick a book that doesn’t fit any challenges.
