I am happy to be participating in the Books that Need MORE Attention Giveaway Hop hosted by Stuck In Books.

This hop is about books you love that not enough other people have found out about. Today I decided to feature UP ALL NIGHT, a collection of fictional short stories. The book features stories by award-winning and best-selling authors: Peter Abrahams, Libba Bray, David Levithan, Sarah Weeks, Gene Yang, and Patricia McCormick. It's a fun way to sample a new-to-you author's work. I am giving a one copy to a randomly drawn winner (U.S. mailing addresses only) via the rafflecopter widget in this post.*

Book Description

A brush with the supernatural?
A rock concert?
A reunion?
A poolside revelation?
The need to know what's up?
The confessions of a friend?
The dream of escape?
A sick pet?
An English assignment?
The rear-window view of a murder next door?
The search for the mother you never met?
What keeps you up all night?

* Please pardon the site construction. I had to switch web services yesterday due to unexpected limitations in functionality. YIKES! We should have this blog looking fabulous very soon. Because of the "dust," I've decided to sweeten the prize giveaway. I will giveaway one extra book for every 200 entries over 200 in our giveaway - up to a maximum of five books.

ex. 2 books = 400 entries | 3 books = 600 entries | 4 books = 800 entries | 5 books = 1000 entries

Hop along to the next blog...

  1. I'm currently reading Soulless by Amber Garr, it's good so far! I haven't read any of the authors in this book. Thanks for the giveaway!

  2. Right now I'm reading Kicking It (a UF anthology) and Bridge of Dreams by Anne Bishop.

    Thanks for the amazing giveaway!

  3. I'm currently reading Alice + Freda Forever. I've read Patricia McCormick's work before.

  4. I'm currently reading "This Man" by Jodi Malpas :)

  5. My favorite collections of short stories is Fun Parts by Sam Lipsyte. I'm not sure if i have read any of these short stories or their Authors.

  6. I've never read any of these authors' books, but I'm curious to know what they did with this theme. Lots of room to explore the dark side, for sure!

My favorite short story collection is probably Me Talk Pretty One Day by David Sedaris. Okay, some will say these are nonfictional, but I'd call it creative nonfiction at that - and that's basically fiction, isn't it? I just can't stop laughing over his French grammar issues, the creative writing class he teaches using his favorite soap operas as a writing assignment, and his experiences as a would-be conceptual artist. I like to reread it every couple of years.

  7. Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon: Short Stories, Vols. 1&2 by Naoko Takeuchi

No, I have not read the listed authors before.

  8. I have not read any of the authors works yet but so looking forward to soon.

  9. I'm currently reading Dark Places

  10. I enjoyed Arranged Marriage by Chitra Banerjee Divakaruni and No Comebacks by Frederick Forsyth.

    Thanks :)

Get carried away with love!
