Author Tour: Anna Ellis

GENRE:  Erotic Romance

Who is your intended audience and why should they read your book?

I got one message/review of my third book, The Wives from a husband and wife! They said they loved reading the books together. I thought that was amazing, and after that, I've always kept in mind men are reading my books too. So I write for both men and women, targeting married couples. I have a lot of mature readers as well, which is why I came up with the character of Morena in my new series.

How did you come up with the title of your book or series?

I'm giving hubby credit for this. I had the idea for the Adults Only series and was about halfway through the first book and couldn't come up with a name. So I mentioned it to him - I don't normally discuss my writing with him for some reason - and bam, he came up with Shared Accommodations, Room Service and Late Check-Out, all related to the B&B. So, thanks!

Who is your favorite character from your book

My favourite character from Shared Accommodations is Jacey. I loved writing her in Husbands and Wives, and whole point of the new series was to allow previous characters to visit. But as for new characters- I love Morena. I think I want to be her when I grow up.

Where did your love of reading/storytelling/writing/etc. come from?

I used to hang out at my local library when I was a kid, and Mrs. Adams, the librarian certainly helped with the love of reading. I think it was a natural progression to go from reading everything and everywhere to writing.

Do you have any unique talents or hobbies?

I would really like to say yes, I do but I don't! I have a love of movies and the ability to remember a whole bunch of pop culture trivia. I play Trivia Crack with my daughter and I'm very good at it!

I can also brag a bit and say folks in my neighbour are always complimenting me on my gardens. They think I hire someone and seem amazed that I do everything myself, do I guess I have a talent for gardening. It's not that unique and it's only for outside since I can kill indoor plants pretty quickly.

What's the strangest thing you have ever had to research online for your book?

Not sure I want to mention some of the things I've had to read research for this series! Let's just say I had to clear my browser history!  But I also write women's fiction under a pen name and some of my more interesting searches were on the underground tunnels in North Korea and how to Hotwire a car.

What can we expect from you in the future? What are you working on now?

I'm putting the finishing touches on Room Service, the second book in my Adults Only series. It's out Feb 27 but you can pre-order your copy now. Then I'll be jumping right into the third book, Late Check-Out.

What can readers who enjoy your book do to help?

Write a review! Tell your friends. Word of mouth is the best and easiest way to help a book stand out of a crowd. Follow me on Facebook, Twitter and soon, Instagram! Sign up for my newsletter and join my street team. And tell me you liked my book - that's really important and fun to hear!!!

Blurb from Shared Accommodations, first book in Adults Only series

Adults Only

“Nestled on the shores of the Bay of Fundy in

picturesque Nova Scotia, Mrs. Robinson’s Bed and Breakfast

is the perfect spot to relax, to be refreshed and to reflect

on the adventure of life.”

“I usually end up getting excited when I reflect on our adventures,” Jacey, Shared Accommodations.

Jacey and Dominic are back!

The happily married couple at the centre of the swinging series, Husbands and Wives are back in the first book of this new series from Anna Ellis, Adults Only.

In Shared Accommodations, Jacey and Dominic leave their naughty neighbours at home when they visit Mrs. Robinson’s B & B for the weekend. They meet Morena, aka Mrs. Robinson, a sexy fiftysomething who counts Tia as part of her past and is always ready for some excitement in rural Nova Scotia. And Michael Lorde, her hot handyman with a love story of his own.

Are you ready to head out with Jacey and Dom for an Adults Only weekend?

Excerpt from Shared Accommodations

“I’ve always wondered if you have any say in how things work out.”

Morena looked up to see Richard walking towards her. She smiled, appreciating the way he looked in his slim-fitting pants. She liked men who kept themselves in shape.

“How is it possible that you look even better now than you did when we first met?”

Morena wondered.

“You make me blush. You look stunning, by the way.”

She smoothed the skirt of her violet dress, noticing the way Richard couldn’t take his eyes away from her breasts showcased by the deep plunging V neckline. “Where’s your partner in crime?”

Richard nodded down towards the lobby. “My wife seems to be occupied by the bar.”

“I meant Liliane.”

Richard smiled, looking both predatory and very satisfied. “Ah, Liliane. I think I’ve made her late for the party.”

“I’m sure she won’t mind making an entrance. Couldn’t wait until after dinner?”

“I needed a late afternoon snack.”

“Hopefully you didn’t fill up.”

Richard chuckled and rested his elbows on the railing as he looked down at the group. “So who do you recommend for the second course?”

Morena didn’t hide the fact she was checking out Richard’s ass before she leaned in beside him. “I don’t think you need my help.”

“Of course I don’t. But I like to hear what you think.”

“I’m afraid you missed out on the lovely Jacey.”

“A pity. Are you happy, Morena?”

She looked up into Richard’s eyes, noting his serious expression.

“Are you happy? Do you miss it? The parties, the excitement of seeing someone across the room and knowing you can do anything you want with them?”

Morena closed her eyes, an image flashing across her mind, of another time, another person.

She had been a different person then.
