The first round will take place the entire month of July 2018.

There will be no challenges for Summer Round. There will be sprints.

I believe that you have to read the books in alphabet order, which will be too difficult for me to achieve this month.

Are you planning to participate?

I’m Sadie Carter and I have a passion for pajamas. | Marcun Book Tour | Silver Dagger Book Tours Presents Paranormal Romance

Marcun by Sadie Carter is on virtual book tour. The paranormal romance stops at Readeropolis with an author.

Be sure to enter for a chance to win the giveaway for a $25 Amazon GC and follow the Silver Dagger book tour (for other dates see the link at the bottom of the post).

Hi , I’m Sadie and I have a passion for pajamas. Yep. I love pajamas. I have unicorn ones, flamingo ones, pretty floral ones, and I even have pajamas with Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer on them (which considering I live in New Zealand and at Christmas time it’s summer, makes wearing pajamas quite a warm experience).

But can you blame me? Aren’t pajamas the comfiest thing ever? I don’t wear them out of the house (well, other than to the rubbish bin and back) that’s a no-no, although not saying if there wasn’t a national pajama day that I wouldn’t be behind it. Not sure I’d want to see our Prime Minister in her pjs, though. But some of those All Blacks…hmm…especially if they just wear pajama bottoms. *fans herself*

Does anyone else have a passion like mine (or not)? I have others…shoes…champagne (not that I can afford to indulge that one)…reading (of course)… sexy alpha aliens…the list goes on.

Too bad I’m not passionate about something sensible, right? Like exercise or apples or broccoli.

Sky Warriors Book 1
by Sadie Carter
Genre: Paranormal Romance

Eden Summers has an unhealthy obsession with chocolate, a hate-hate relationship with the IRS, and a failing bakery. Her love life is…well, not dying, to be dying it would first have to exist, right? And the only person filling up her inbox is her overprotective mother.

To top things off her next-door neighbor is a rude, obnoxious sex maniac. When he’s not keeping her up half the night with all his banging and moaning, he’s turning her into a babbling idiot.

Because the man is gorgeous. Ripped. Mesmerising. A little strange. And when she is around him, her body melts into a pile of goo.

Marcun Clacka has come to Earth to locate a precious jewel for his client. He doesn’t like Earth; the people are inferior and, unlike his pack mates, he does not wish to find a human female to mate.

Humans are trouble. Fragile. And loud.

Except the tiny female who lives next to him isn’t too annoying. And she is quite attractive. Foolishly courageous. Yes, perhaps he could mate with her.

There is just one problem. Sky Warriors mate in packs. One female. Six males.
And Marcun does not intend to share the little female.

Best selling author, Sadie wanted to blend her love of writing, Sci-Fi (why did they cancel Firefly - sobs) and sexy, dominant males.

Sign up to her newsletter ( and receive a FREE NOVELLA set in the Zerconian Warriors world, you'll also receive information about new releases, excerpts from upcoming books and deleted scenes.

Her heart raced, her palms growing even more sweaty and the plate of brownies she held slipped through her grasp. His reflexes quick, he reached out and grabbed the plate before it could smash to the ground.

“T-thank you,” she managed to spit out. Her manners so ingrained that even through the strange wash of heat swamping her body, she somehow managed to speak.

Yay! Go her!

Now if she could just remember how to speak some other words she might manage to get out of here without making a complete fool of herself.

He didn’t help her loss of brain function. He just stood there, staring down at her with a quizzical look on his stunning face, watching her as though she were a puzzle. Couldn’t he help her out by covering himself up? Then she might just remember why she was here, or what her own name was.

They continued to stare at each other. Say something. Anything.

“Brownies. Eden. Hi. Shirt.”

Oh for fucks sake. This was ridiculous.

How long have you been writing? | Exile of Angels by Ron C. Nieto Book Tour | Silver Dagger Book Tours Presents Urban Fantasy

Exile of Angels by Ron C. Nieto is on virtual book tour. The urban fantasy series stops at Readeropolis with an author guest post.

Be sure to enter for a chance to win the giveaway for a $20 Amazon GC and follow the Silver Dagger book tour (for other dates see the link at the bottom of the post).

How long have you been writing?

Short answer? Forever.

Long answer, because I know that’s way more interesting? You’d better get comfortable.

At first, I made up stories in my mind. I suppose most children do. Except instead of growing out of the habit, I started to put those stories to paper. Or rather, to screen—at the time, we had 386 computer at home, running on windows 3.11 with Word Perfect installed. I used to say for stories to a floppy disk, which thankfully has been lost to time.

(Actually, I know it is, but modern computers have no way to read floppy disks and the file extension is outdated, so the world is safe from my earliest creations.)

During my teen years, my stories shifted from self-insertion adventures to fantasy quests, and of course I used to add the infamous “like Tolkien” when I was talking about my writing.

(At the time, I couldn’t fathom that Tolkien’s style was indeed too wordy, too slow and altogether too literary, and not quite what most people looked for in a fiction bestseller.)

Something happened when I joined University though. After a year studying toward an engineering degree, I switched to a linguistics degree, and one of my professors there remarked on my writing. She encouraged me to pursue it, not as a “hobby” as everyone else up to that point had intimated, but as a career.

(And would you believe that up to that point, I had never thought writing could be career for mere mortals? I always thought it was a matter of being Chosen by the Mighty Publishing Houses, and that pursuing writing was akin to wanting to be a rockstar god.)

Sometimes, it takes people believing in you for you to believe in yourself.

I started writing during my college years. Less epic fantasy, more urban style. I challenged myself to finishing a readable novel, and the more I wrote the more I realized that it was a craft as much as it was an art. Rules and theories that needed learning before I could think of breaking them.

I like to think “I’ve made it” as a writer. I like to think I understand enough to deliver good stories, while accepting that my next book will be my best yet. Because of course there are things I wish to learn… But that’s a path meant to be walked all through life. The important bit, finding the path? I like to think I found mine.

Fall From Grace
Exile of Angels Book 1
by Ron C. Nieto
Genre: Urban Fantasy

Hell was meant to be a timeless prison. It’s not.

Henry Black, former Archangel of Secret Knowledge, wants some peace of mind after untold millennia locked up in Hell, but the guilt of inhabiting a body that is not his own and of having left behind his brothers and sisters still damned to solitary confinement eats him up inside.

Old sins are hard to cleanse.

He thinks he can atone by doing the right thing—play the older brother to his host body’s kin while upturning every secret buried in Creation until he finds a way to free every single angel who fell—but with every fact uncovered, he finds himself one step further from the release he craves and one step closer to more chains that bind.

Maybe the only way to be at peace with himself is to face a new war head on…

Rise To Freedom
Exile of Angels Book 2

I am a demon possessing the body of the late Malik Sadik. Truth.

Yes, the former Archangel of Truth now inhabits the body of coffeehouse barista Malik Sadik. But Malik wasn’t a willing participant to this possession, not like Henry Black. The human Henry Black willingly gave over his body to the Archangel of Secret Knowledge. Malik, on the other hand, was merely in the wrong place at the wrong time.

I still feel human. Truth.

Yes, Malik still feels human. But he’s not human and a war is brewing. When Hell threatens to unravel and its black hunger eats and corrupts those Malik has learned to care about, he must make a choice between what he knew as an angel and what he has begun to feel as a man.

So, what happens when Truth isn’t right?

Ron C. Nieto is a fantasy and romance author who has been writing in her secluded fortress for the longest time. Recently, she had a talk with her cat and decided that she should share her creations, because it was selfish to hoard them all for herself.

Fast Backward by David Patneaude | Book Tour | Silver Dagger Book Tours Presents YA SciFi Time Travel

Fast Backward by David Patneaude is on virtual book tour. The young adult science fiction (time travel) stops at Readeropolis with a book trailer.

Be sure to enter for a chance to win the giveaway for a paperback copy of Fast Backward (5 winners) and follow the Silver Dagger book tour (for other dates see the link at the bottom of the post).

Fast Backward
by David Patneaude
Genre: YA SciFi, Time Travel

Fifteen-year-old Bobby Hastings witnesses an atomic explosion near a top secret New Mexico army base in July of 1945. Terrified, he soon heads off on his bike for home, only to encounter something that rivals the blast for drama. A girl his age stands naked at the side of the lonely desert road: underweight, unwell, and speaking with a German accent. In the coming days, she unveils an impossible story about time travel and a heartbreaking outcome of the war. She begs people to believe her warning and prevent the awful future she claims to know too well. But even if they do believe her, and the story is true, the biggest question remains: can history be undone?

David Patneaude finally heeded the advice, "It's never too late to have a happy childhood," and began writing seriously (more or less) in the mid 1980's. His first novel, SOMEONE WAS WATCHING, winner of South Dakota and Utah book awards, was published in 1993. His books have been placed on young readers' lists in more than thirty states and honored by the New York Public Library (THE LAST MAN'S REWARD), the Society of School Librarians International (FRAMED IN FIRE), the Winnetka (Illinois) Public Library's "One Book, Two Villages" program (THIN WOOD WALLS), and the Washington State Public Library (THIN WOOD WALLS). His newest book, EPITAPH ROAD, was first published in March 2010. A revised digital edition was published in February 2017. Enjoy! When he's not sitting in a coffee shop writing, or at a school or library or conference talking about writing, or out on the running trail thinking about writing, he's at home in Woodinville, Washington with his wife Judy, a junior high librarian.

Character Interview ft Ellison Russell | SHADOW DANCING by Julie Mulhern | GREAT ESCAPES TOURS Presents Cozy Mystery

SHADOW DANCING (The Country Club Murders) by Julie Mulhern is on virtual book tour with Great Escapes Book Tours and stops at Readeropolis with a character interview. Enjoy!

What is on your bedroom floor? Carpet.
  • On your nightstand? There’s a copy of Watership Down on my nightstand. It’s been there for at least three books. You’d think I’d have finished it by now…
  • In your trash basket? In the bathroom, there’s an empty can of Aqua-Net, a tissue I used to blot my lipstick, a Tab can, the Tickle deodorant I tried and didn’t like, last month’s edition of Vogue (the one with Cher on the cover), and a cold cream jar.

Complete the following sentence: I am the kind of person who finds bodies. I don’t want to be—one doesn’t wake up in the morning and say, “Today I’ll find a body.” Lord knows, my finding bodies upsets Mother. She seems to think I do it on purpose. It’s worth repeating—one doesn’t wake up in the morning and say, “Today I’ll find a body.” But, I do. All the time.

If you could go back in time for one day, where would you go? There was an instance when I ran over my husband. With my car. It was most upsetting. If I could go back, I wouldn’t do that.

What is the one word you would use to define yourself? Mother.

What is the one word others would use to define you? Artist. Coffee lover. Finder of bodies. Optimistic bridge bidder. Bad cook. Friend.

What do you consider your greatest achievement? I’m a painter and selling my first painting felt enormous satisfying. I was so proud. That pride is nothing compared to how I feel about my daughter, Grace.

About the Book

Cozy Mystery
7th in Series
Henery Press (June 19, 2018)
Print Length: 210 pages
Digital ASIN: B07BMJM89K

Visiting a psychic is outside the norm for Ellison Russell. Finding bodies is not. Unfortunately, the psychic’s crystal ball says she’ll soon be surrounded by death. Again.

Now there’s a corpse in the front drive, a witchy neighbor ready to turn Ellison and her (not so) little dog into toadstools, and a stripper named Starry Knight occupying the guest room.

How did 1975 go so wrong so quickly?

Ellison must handle Mother (who’s found a body of her own), make up with a certain handsome detective, and catch a killer, or the death surrounding her might be her own.

About the Author

– Julie Mulhern is the USA Today bestselling author of The Country Club Murders. She is a Kansas City native who grew up on a steady diet of Agatha Christie. She spends her spare time whipping up gourmet meals for her family, working out at the gym and finding new ways to keep her house spotlessly clean–and she’s got an active imagination.
