GENRE:  Dark Fantasy/Paranormal Romance

Megan O'Day seems to be navigating the unpredictable relationship with Geoffrey Drake, her centuries-old vampire guardian angel, rather well. But then his past suddenly rips him from her, forcing her to face the unknown future alone in the gripping sequel to The Stage.

Still bound to Geoffrey through the power of the Link despite his unexplained absence, Megan's mind is flooded with his haunted memories. While she relives the darkest moments of his previous life, she discovers his attachment to a woman who bears a striking resemblance to her.

As she questions Geoffrey's love for her, she strikes up a dangerous alliance with Geoffrey's brother, Alexander, who is also a vampire. She hopes that he will help her find a way to rescue Geoffrey: instead, he seems to be awakening new emotions and desires within her.

As the past and present collide, Megan struggles to fend off Alexander's dark seduction. Is Geoffrey truly beyond the reach of her love forever? If not, what must be sacrificed to bring them back together again?

Geoffrey and I stepped into one elevator, the others squeezed into the other. I fumbled with the box as the elevator doors closed. The elevator jerked slightly. Geoffrey had pushed the stop button, and gently took the box from my hands as the elevator halted between floors. I grinned, knowing what he was up to. I reached up to his delicious mouth as his cool palms softly held my face.

Whenever our lips touched the link became a hyper wire of electric current. My tongue danced in time with his as his venom flowed into me. Along with my being the mythological link to him, we’d also discovered that I was immune to his venom—but mind you, it still had its drawbacks. Sure, it gave me enhanced senses and physical abilities, but it also made me sicker than a dog if the dose was too big, basically a nasty hangover.

Just as his icy fingers skimmed my waist, the call buzzer rang, interrupting our moment. I had about two seconds before he pulled away, so I held him tighter to me, tugging on his delicious lower lip a bit longer, and his fingers grazed the top of my hips, which only made me want him more.

Damn buzzer. And I was just getting started, too. He grinned as I tucked my shirt back in.

“At least we won’t have interruptions to worry about anymore,” he said aloud as he tucked my hair back behind my ear, sending a small thrill through me.

Do you ever wish you were someone else? Who?

Answer: Yes, actually I do wish I was someone else quite frequently. I find as the older I get the more I wish I could chat, speak or sneak a conversation with my younger self, to say “Yes, you’ll make it through this. Ignore the butterflies in your stomach, you’ve got this, follow your gut instincts. That no matter what, life finds a way, that what you’re doing really does make a difference, regardless of the size, small or large...that you’re contribution does matter, that you’re a good person and to always remember that in your heart.” Yeah, that’s just the tip of the ice berg for what I’d say to my younger self.

What did you do on your last birthday?

Answer: Since discovering a passionate new hobby, that being baking and enjoying a Netflix show, The Great British Baking Show, I baked my own Victorian Citrus Sponge cake with Orange buttercream frosting garnished with home-made candied orange peel. It was scrumptious. I greatly enjoy baking for not only my family but also for my co-workers, who are willing Guinea pigs for all my newest adventures in baking, some are success...some leave a bit to be desired as they’re still works in progress. I love a good challenge.

What part of the writing process do you dread?

Answer: To be honest, typing “The End” it never fails, my characters will either A) continue to annoy me until I pick up my pen again or B) a whole new set of characters and plot lines bloom overnight.
There are times it’s like a faucet that will either surge non-stop and splattering everywhere...or an annoying trickle the drip-drip-drips until I open the valve wide enough to allow the dream to continue.

Do you ever suffer from writer’s block? If so, what do you do about it?

Answer: There have been times in the past that yes I’ve endured a lack of “what’s next” however I tie on my running shoes or take an abnormally long drive with Muse playing and this normally does the trick, erasing what blockage there was with a quick swipe of the proverbial eraser on “minds white board.” Muse has always held some key to unlocking my mind when it’s gets locked down of its own accord.

Answer: The Stage Chronicles: Exit Stage Left Book 2 is the continuing sage of Megan O’Day, the main heroine of the Chronicles. She’s growing in her love and life with Geoffrey Drake who just happens to be her guardian angel and a centuries old Vampire. She’s discovered a very unconventional and unconditional type of love she never knew existed before finding him. Now that they’ve been together for a short while, she’s completely accepted by his vampire family, all of which are also his bandmates of The Darkness, the hottest underground band in Seattle & the Pacific Northwest. Her best friend owns the bar, The Stage, where they all work and perform. The 2nd book picks up directly after their first set of holidays and New Year Eve party, where, Geoffrey’s twin brother, Alexander, confront them all and demands that Geoffrey return to the same coven that exiled him. However, Alexander and the coven are unware of the mythological Link that Megan & Geoffrey share. The Link is pure myth in the Vampire community and would be highly valuable to the coven if they were to find out. Megan & Geoffrey can hear each other’s thoughts, feel the other’s emotions and desires. Exit Stage Left begins with Megan & Geoffrey trying to learn more about themselves, their fate, and the myth of the Link when suddenly Geoffrey’s past rips him from their future and Megan is forced to navigate the unknown by herself until an unlikely ally appears in Alexander, Geoffrey’s twin Vampire brother. With Alexander’s help they attempt to find Geoffrey and in midst of doing so, Alexander awakens desires within Megan, which she struggles with understanding. Is Geoffrey truly beyond the reach of her love forever? If not, what must be sacrificed to bring them back together again?

  5. How did I come up with the story from my book? Well that’s a long story. However a long story short...The characters in my head over many years finally would not shut up. I’ve always been interested in vampires so I knew that would be the genre of my heart and soul. The names of the two primary characters were easy and the others followed seamlessly as I created my world. I was inspired to put my characters words and history to paper after watching interview after interview of one of my favorite authors. It inspired me to put pencil to paper literally & to let the words flow out. My tagline is this “May your Stage l become reality". Bernie... May your own Stage full of dreams become your reality! Thanks for stopping by!🦇♥️🦇
