The Gun Also Rises (A Sarah Winston Garage Sale Mystery) by Sherry Harris is on book tour with Great Escapes Virtual Book Tours and stops at Readeropolis with an author interview and giveaway. Enjoy!
Author Interview

Who is your intended audience and why should they read your book?

My youngest reader is fourteen and it goes on up to readers in their nineties. Anyone who loves a good mystery without any on page violence will enjoy the Sarah Winston Garage Sale mysteries. They come with a side of humor and a peek into the life of a military spouse.

How did you come up with the title of your book or series?
My editor at Kensington and I work together on all of the titles. Sometimes—shocker—we don’t agree. And, sigh, he’s always right.

Tell us a little bit about your cover art. Who designed it? Why did you go with that particular image?
The awesome team at Kensington designs my covers. I suggested an old fashion looking tag. They ran with it and the covers are amazing. The tag gives them a unified look and I pinch myself every time I see the artwork for a new one.

Who is your favorite character from your book and why?
Just one? Because I really love them all! That said one of the characters who has been the most interesting to me is Seth Anderson. He shows up in the first book Tagged for Death. Seth wasn’t even supposed to be a named character, but all of the sudden he called Sarah and wanted to see her again. Then I realized he was the district attorney which really complicates Sarah’s life. After that I found out he was Massachusetts’ Most Eligible Bachelor and he is handsome. Seth has been in all of the books so far!

Do you have any unique talents or hobbies?
I’m a patent holding inventor. It’s not really a hobby, just an idea that came to me.

How can we contact you or find out more about your books?
My website is I love to hear from readers!

What can we expect from you in the future?
Along with the Sarah Winston Garage Sale mystery series I’m also writing a second series for Kensington. It’s the Chloe Jackson Redneck Riviera mystery series set on the beautiful beaches of the Florida panhandle.

Do you have any tips for readers or advice for other writers trying to get published?
Don’t give up! It took me a long time to get published. I’ve written a couple of books that haven’t sold. Rejections are discouraging but part of the writing process.

Is there anything else you’d like to say?
Thanks so much for having me. I love visiting Readeropolis!

A wealthy widow has asked Sarah Winston to sell her massive collection of mysteries through her garage sale business. While sorting through piles of books stashed in the woman's attic, Sarah is amazed to discover a case of lost Hemingway stories, stolen from a train in Paris back in 1922. How did they end up in Belle Winthrop Granville's attic in Ellington, Massachusetts, almost one hundred years later?

Before Sarah can get any answers, Belle is assaulted, the case is stolen, a maid is killed, and Sarah herself is dodging bullets. And when rumors spread that Belle has a limited edition of The Sun Also Rises in her house, Sarah is soon mixed up with a mobster, the fanatical League of Literary Treasure Hunters, and a hard-to-read rare book dealer. With someone willing to kill for the Hemingway, Sarah has to race to catch the culprit—or the bell may toll for her . . .
