GRANNY BRICKS A BANDIT (Fuchsia, Minnesota Series) by Julie Seedorf is on virtual book tour with Great Escapes Book Tours. The tour stops at Readeropolis with a author interview Enjoy!
Author Interview

Who is your intended audience and why should they read your book?
My intended audience is anyone who likes a good mystery and loves to laugh and be silly. It is intended for adults but cozies are almost g-rated so kids can read them too.

How did you come up with the title of your book or series?
Since most of my communities are very different than the real communities we live in today I wanted to set the communities in Minnesota and give the towns the fun fictional names. I decided to name the series after the towns since I plan on adding more.

Who is your favorite character from your book and why? Of course I have to say Hermiony Vidalia Criony Fiddlestadt Crickett aka Granny. She finally at her age has come into her own and become who God meant her to be. All her life she did what society expected her to do and now she has shed all those expectations which confuse her family but makes her happy. She surrounds herself with other quirky characters that have her back and accept her as she is. What more could any of us want from life?

Give us an interesting fun fact or a few about your book or series: My work really is a satire on the way we live in the real world today. We have expectations of what an older person should be and also we have put so many rules on our properties and the way we live that makes me feel constricted so in my books I try and take them the opposite direction. Pink houses all the way, colorful scenery and colorful characters. I like quirky people in real life. They make great friends and are never boring.

How can we contact you or find out more about your books?
You can visit my website at or find me on Facebook at or any of the other social media sites under my name.

What can we expect from you in the future?
I am currently working on a new series. Also a serious book about an older woman who leaves home in the middle of the night to find herself again after being in a controlling relationship and a devotion book Plus there are more books planned in my Fuchsia and Brilliant Series.

What can readers who enjoy your book do to help make it successful?
Readers can share and tell others about our books. It is the readers who make us successful and spreading the word helps us be able to keep writing. For many of us it is our career and the way we put food on the table.

Is there anything else you’d like to say?
As Granny would say, “You are on a need to know basis and I know what you don’t need to know so if you think you know, you might not know what I know.”

Could he be the killer’s next victim? Or could he be the killer? When the gals take a side trip to the Mall of America, they find a man fell to his death on a climbing wall––and Mavis is certain she spots George nearby! What does it all mean? About the Author
A Bit About Me As An Impassioned Writer
As human beings, we are always a work in progress. From birth to death we live, hurt, laugh, cry, feel, and with all of those emotions we grow as people, as family members, and as friends. I am a dreamer and feel blessed to have the opportunity in my writing to pass those dreams on to others. I believe you are never too old to dream and to turn those dreams into a creative endeavor. I live in rural Minnesota and I am a wife, mother, and grandmother.
I have worn many hats throughout my life such as working as a waitress, nursing home activities person, office manager and finally a computer repair person eventually owning my own computer sales and repair business. I never forgot my love of writing and quit my computer business in 2012 after signing a contract with Cozy Cat Press for Granny Hooks A Crook, the first book in my Fuchsia, Minnesota Series.
Adding four more books to the Fuchsia Series, adding a new Brilliant, Minnesota Series and writing a column for local newspapers feeds my writing creativity.
I also dabble a bit in watercolor painting and hope to eventually add pictures to my children’s book series, Granny’s In Trouble.
Oh, and did I tell you I like to be a little bit silly.
