Behind The Writing Scenes
I've spent several years writing lots of different types of fiction, trying the different genres and trying to find what worked best for me, what made me the happiest to write, etc. The Poet of The Heart is a collection of deep thoughts, fears, and hopes that I've had throughout every point of my life- it's a poem collection of the human heart and its experiences.
There wasn't really any one thing that inspired me because of that. And somehow, it ended up being the first work I wanted to share with others as well as the piece of work that made me cry the most (which I will deny of course).
There is only one thing I would want to tell readers about this piece of writing that took me forever to edit. Some of the poems (I won't say which ones!) have a lot of heavy symbolism in them, and were actually me in the present talking about my younger self. So please inform any literary teachers they probably interpreted it completely wrong ;)
Further behind the ''writing scenes'', I wanted any readers that had similar experiences or thoughts to be able to connect with the poems. So each one is told as its own story inside of a bigger one, with everything from different settings to povs. I also wanted to make it easier for the reader to trade places and picture themselves as the teller, so I ended up not using a lot of different character names.
I hope that anyone who reads The Poet of The Heart, connects with the stories and sees more than just words on a page.
Thank you for reading!!

  1. The title and the cover don't mesh well together. The stark black & white with a title about poetry of the heart should have some color...some vibrancy.

  11. The Poet of the Heart would seem difficult to write if it were me as to write about the past would mean to relive some of the bad things that have happened. Very brave of the author to do so.
