His True Love (True Detective Series) by Lynn Chantale is on virtual book tour.

The mystery menage romance stops at Readeropolis with an author interview.

Be sure to enter for a chance to win the giveaway for a $10 Amazon GC and follow the Silver Dagger book tour (for other dates see the link at the bottom of the post).

What inspired you to write this book?

This book was a way to get me back into writing. I had a mental breakdown some years back and had not been able to write.

Not being able to write was like a living death. No matter what happened in my life I was always able to write, until I had my breakdown. Nothing flowed. There were some really good ideas, but I couldn’t get more than a few words on the page.

So I gave myself a goal. Write 10k. That was all I had to do. So I started with a threesome who enjoyed solving mysteries. Toss in a villain who collects women, and well you’ve got the premise for ‘His True Love.

What can we expect from you in the future?

I’m hoping to publish a total of 6 books this year. The next one, Gluttony book 2 in The Sin-Eaters Series is slated for release in April. I’ve added back in material to Breaking Delia’s Rules to return it to its former full-length story and an entirely new series involving characters who are blind or visually impaired.

Do you have any “side stories” about the characters?

Right now, no, but who knows.

Can you tell us a little bit about the characters in His True Love?

Carson, Matt, and Nathalie are the heroes of the story. Both Carson and Matt have military backgrounds and have been friends and partners for a very long time. Carspm is the self-appointed protector of the group. Even though he loves his electronic gizmoes, he’ll be the first to throw a punch rather than talk. Matt has a little more finesse and a penchant for humor even in the direst of situations. The guys loved talking to me. Nathalie was different. She hangs back and as I learned she’s the heart of the group. Don’t confuse quiet with docile. She’s very good at protecting herself and can sometimes go a little overboard in doing so. The men would rather take care of the dirty work and let her remain their more empathic partner.

How did you come up with the concept and characters for the book?

I thought it would be nice to have a series that combined the cleverness of ‘Charlie’s Angels’ and the more family-fights the bad guys of ‘Leverage.’

Where did you come up with the names in the story?

I think I searched a bunch of names until they spoke to me.

What did you enjoy most about writing this book?

With this book, it was the dialogue between the characters. Carson, Matt, and Nathalie have a bit of snark between the three of them. Even though it’s tempered by love and familiarity, it’s there. And with the secondary characters, the captured women, their voices had to shive through as well.

How did you come up with the title of your first novel?

Hmm, that was too long ago. My very first novel was a brother and sister who had an overbearing father. The father tried to arrange a marriage to the son of his best friend. The brother didn’t like this plan…and the title was His Sister’s Keeper. The brother set out to find a more suitable man for his beloved sister.

Who designed your book covers?

For this series, Dreams2Media. I absolutely love what Rebacca does.

If you had to do it all over again, would you change anything in your latest book?

Changing the book once all is said and done is sometimes difficult. When I look back on ‘His True Love, I’m satisfied with the story. Ask me this same question a year from now and see if my answer’s the same. :-)

Did you learn anything during the writing of your recent book?

I learned a few technical terms for the cyber snooping portion and a lot of psychological behavior. Human beings are amazing and terrifying.

If your book was made into a film, who would you like to play the lead?

For the first time, I haven’t  clue as to who would play the lead. lol. I used to think in these terms. For the villain, I’d like to see the guy who plays Sheldon from the ‘Big Bang Theory.’ He would be great. Almost the same way Will Wheaton was in his roles.

Anything specific you want to tell your readers? Thank you to all the readers who have stuck by me and have waited patiently for the next book. And if you have a chance, drop by IRAE 2020 on April 25. I, and several other authors will be signing in Daytona Beach.

How did you come up with name of this book?

I tried to circle the title around the name of the detective agency. His True Love, and then His True Protector….

What is your favorite part of this book and why?

My favorite part of the book is the initial bar scene. I had a lot of fun writing the wisecracks between Carson, Matt, and Nathalie.

Are your characters based off real people or did they all come entirely from your imagination?

This time the characters all sprang from my imagination. There was no need to change the names to protect the guilty. :-)

Do your characters seem to hijack the story or do you feel like you have the reigns of the story?

Absolutely my characters hijack the story. LOL. I’m just the conduit through which they write.

Have you written any other books that are not published?

Yes, I’ve one currently in editstitled ‘Gluttony’, which is the second book in the Sin-Eaters series. another with the working title of The Kink Brothers, that’s another menage. The full-length manuscript of Breaking Delia’s Rules and a couple of titles which need to have covers and re-released

What did you edit out of this book?

Originally, the villain was a serial killer., now he’s an abductor of women. Or as he’ often says, “I save them. I keep them safe.”

Fun Facts/Behind the Scenes/Did You Know?'

Lynn’s favorite color is blue.
This book was her first foray into M/M.
The story was set in MI, even though it’s never clearly stated.
Sterling, was named in honor of a character from ‘Leverage.’
Lynn prefers savory fruits to sweet fruits.

Some of the scenes were written after the book was completed.

His True Love
True Detective Series
by Lynn Chantale
Genre: Mystery Menage Romance

In a small town, in a popular bar, beautiful women disappear. This could just be a coincidence, but private investigators, Carson, Matt and Nathalie don’t believe in them. So they go undercover.

However, when one of the missing women turns up dead, the trio is disturbed to learn the woman bore a striking resemblance to Nathalie; they increase their efforts. When Nathalie disappears from the same bar, Carson and Matt will do anything to find her.

*Contains explicit descriptions of sex, strong language, and descriptions of violence.*

Lynn Chantale resides in Southwest Florida and she is determined to enjoy all that life has to offer. She has a mad affinity for milk chocolate, preferably Dove chocolate truffles or the caramel-filled squares (Godiva is acceptable), and plays the bass guitar when the Muse begs for a bit of distraction.

She’s a multi-published author in ebooks and has recently stepped into the self-publishing world. So far both experiences have been rewarding.
