What inspired you to write this book?

I love fairy tales and I think the idea of beauty especially this day and age is very relevant – how we perceive ourselves and others through our outer shell – how we think we need to look as prescribed to us by the media. I wanted to tackle the issue of beauty and what it could mean.

What can we expect from you in the future?

I am working on a number of projects – I will of course finish Gabriel and Mia’s story and I have a Hensel and Grettel and Tangles fairy tales in the making.

Do you have any “side stories” about the characters?

Parts of Me series are all about Gabriel

Can you tell us a little bit about the characters in Beast?

Tove savage is a pretty girl which makes her callus with the heart of a boy – Adrian Rose who fell out of a window and scared himself.

Where did you come up with the names in the story?

I did some research  as to names that mean beauty
Tove means is from a Swedish, Norwegian origin meaning "beautiful"
And Adrian means dark (the German meaning) – he is the beast

What did you enjoy most about writing this book?

I liked the conflict – the angst – that is always my favourite,

How did you come up with the title of your first novel?

I don’t know the titles just come when they are ready. I rarely know the title of one of my books until I am done writing it.

Who designed your book covers?

The amazingly incredible talented Jennifer Demeter from The  Dust Jacket Designs.

If you had to do it all over again, would you change anything in your latest book?

Possibly but I try hard not to think about it

Did you learn anything during the writing of your recent book?

Beauty is rarely skin deep but often that’s all we see, the outside – I mean even when we are told not to - don’t we all judge a book by it’s cover?

If your book was made into a film, who would you like to play the lead?

I’m not young enough or cruel enough.

Anything specific you want to tell your readers?

Thank you – thank you for taking a chance on a new author – thank you for taking my words and making them yours – thank you for breathing life into my characters by bringing them to life in your imaginations. Thank you.

Are your characters based off real people or did they all come entirely from your imagination?

In this instance they were conjured completely from my imagination.

Do your characters seem to hijack the story or do you feel like you have the reigns of the story?

I am what you may call a punster – I have no idea where I’m going I tens to just jump in the proverbial train and see where we end up – sometimes we stay on the tracks, other times the train crashes and catches on fire and everything is on fire there is some screaming, tears, the occasional swear word (they are more than just occasional)  – but we all somehow make it in the end.

Have you written any other books that are not published?

Some.

If your book had a candle, what scent would it be?

Roses

What did you edit out of this book?

The dark and twisted epilogue that turns the whole story on its head – my betas insisted… I’ll never know – maybe one day I’ll publish an alternate ending

Is there an writer which brain you would love to pick for advice? Who would that be and why?

Terry Pratchett he makes it all seem so easy – so flawless.

Beast
by J.A. Wynters
Genre: Fairy Tale Retelling, Paranormal Romance

Falling out of a window didn't hurt as much as falling for her.
Tove Savage.
When the most beautiful girl in the world treats you like her dirty little secret, you’re reminded that beasts are meant to live in the dark.
Tove used me to get back at her boyfriend, breaking something inside that left a scar far deeper and uglier than the one marring my face.
Three years later Tove arrives at my hospital broken and without her memories.

So, what am I meant to do? Try to forget how much I love her or exact my revenge?
BEAST is a twisted Beauty and the Beast retelling.
Beauty is more than skin deep.

Jane Wynters doesn't quite know how to answer the question of "where are you from?" She's moved from place to place like a snowflake on the wind always searching for a safe place to land. She loves meeting new people and exploring new places. She loves reading, writing and conjuring new worlds from her imagination.
