For this year's challenge, I will be sharing books I have released or will release (when the pandemic subsides) into the wild and follow via BookCrossing. I picked Disappearing Acts by Terry McMillan for today's letter, D. You can read a sample of the book here

April is National Poetry Month. Did you know Terry McMillan started writing by writing poetry? In the video Literature Can Change Lives, McMillan talks about her early experiences with books and writing. I am currently reading Disappearing Acts by Terry McMillan and plan to watch its movie adaption for the 2021 Book To Movie Challenge.

Have you read any of Terry McMillan's works?

AMAZON BOOK DESCRIPTION:

He was tall, dark as bittersweet chocolate, and impossibly gorgeous, with a woman-melting smile. She was pretty and independent, petite and not too skinny, just his type. Franklin Swift was a sometimes-employed construction worker, and a not-quite-divorced daddy of two. Zora Banks was a teacher, singer, songwriter. They met in a Brooklyn brownstone, and there could be no walking away...
In this funny, gritty urban love story, Franklin and Zora join the ranks of fiction's most compelling couples, as they move from Scrabble to sex, from layoffs to the limits of faith and trust. Disappearing Acts is about the mystery of desire and the burdens of the past. It's about respect, what it can and can't survive. And it's about the safe and secret places that only love can find.

For this year's challenge, I will be sharing books that I have released or will release into the wild and then follow via BookCrossing.

BookCrossing is the act of releasing your books "into the wild" for a stranger to find, or via "controlled release" to another BookCrossing member, and tracking where they go via journal entries from around the world. Our community of 1,970,760 passionate, generous book-lovers is changing the world and touching lives, one traveling book at a time. We hope you join us! - BookCrossing

One of the goals on MY BOOKISH #20for2020 LIST was to show 99 books released on Book Crossing. I am going to try again to reach it this year.
